Emma Wheeler STEM Lab Grand Opening

CHATTANOOGA, March 15th, 2024 – The Boys and Girls Clubs of Chattanooga and TVA celebrated the opening of a new STEM lab at the Emma Wheeler Clubhouse.

Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation jointly donated a new STEM lab to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chattanooga’s Emma Wheeler Clubhouse.

The STEM lab included computers, tables, chairs and workbench, a 3D printer and STEM curriculum and projects.

When the curtain dropped over 20+ club members were featured as they worked on various STEM projects!

Evann Freeman, (at left) Vice President of Government and Community Relations, EPB provided the welcome, TVA speakers included TVA Board Member Bobby Klein (center) and Carol Eimers (right) Regional Executive, TVA East Region provided comments and congratulations.

Over 30 TVA employees participated in the grand opening event. TVA staff assisted Club members as they worked on their STEM projects.
